Howdy!

This page is for my missives from the sets of my latest film project.  I have been writing these letters to just a handful of friends, for about five years now, and have come to realize that on every show, there are valuable philosophical insights that I could and should be sending to a large number of people.   Many of you can benefit from the lessons I have learned by spending 12 to 18 hours a day at a fantastically high level of tension in order to instantly fulfill the requests of some director who wants dulling spray on a shiny surface or set dressing moved to camera, or has any one of a thousand such urgent, absolutely life-or-death problems that I MUST SOLVE IMMEDIATELY.

It would be a crime against all humans searching for knowledge about how to live life completely, fully, and without limits, if I were to keep these insights, so hard-won, to myself.  Therefore, beginning with the next show, which is probably going to be Feast of Love, starring the noble and supremely talented Morgan Freeman, I will be sending my insights via letters to these pages on my website.  In that way I will make them available at no cost to you, the discerning reader of eclectic tastes, or you, the slovenly fan of show business in any form, or even you, the seeker after knowledge of that which is greater than yourself (which would be, of course, show business in any form).

 Production is due in town around the 12^th of June, and that’s about when I will hopefully board the bus to another thrilling job somewhere on the art department crew, making dreams into reality.  Oh boy!  It’s almost okay to have to work for a living, if it’s a living in SHOW BUSINESS.  Right?
