Professional Experience Designer and senior sculptor for San Diego company which constructed giant cold-air inflatable sculptures of human and animal figures, including The Incredible Hulk, Donald Duck, King Kong (a 65 foot tall version placed atop the Empire State Building) as well as many others.

Sculptor and scenic artist for films and television. Was lead scenic artist for prime time series The Wonder Years, and I continue to work leading painting and sculpting crews on films ranging form The Abyss to Pacific Heights. Most recently worked as Art Director for film Indigo.

Whatever Dolphin researcher and trainer at Scripps’ Institute of Oceanographic Research in La Jolla and Sea World of San Diego’s research department. Worked with dolphins on studies of their intelligence and communication abilities during all of college and graduate school as part of major emphasis.

Field researcher studying killer whales in the wild (British Columbia) for two years, tracking family groups and "listening in" to different pods’ dialects in order to map them.

Volunteer worker and journalist on oil spill clean-ups in Alaska’s Kenai Peninsula following the Exxon Valdez oil spill (where I stayed to work for three months) and California’s Huntington Beach British Petroleum oil spill. These experiences provided me with a rare epiphany: a profound and detailed new awareness of the natural world. However, growing up a Los Angeles native has imbued me with a strong, healthy sense of humor, and that special composure which only comes after hours of freeway driving in heavy traffic each and every day during one’s formative years.
